Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American singer, actress and music producer. When she was a kid Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by many people in America. In the 9th grade, she started to feel more comfortable after she was acknowledged by her teachers as a success for her performance at school's audition. The experience not only boosted her self-confidence but also changed her career ambition. In 1992, she received her master's degree from the city's Julliard School. At the age of 23 she began her professional career in Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, when she was 23, her movie debut was You've got mail. In the Broadway original production of Spamalot She played the Lady of The Lake which won the Tony Award as well as high praise from critics. She gained more recognition by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. A singer by profession, she's also produced a single as well as an extensive work. She also works as an LGBT activist.
